Stan RumbaughStan has a deep conviction that every individual regardless of ethnicity, sexual preference, religion, or economic status, deserves access to justice. He believes that competent representation is essential when fighting against powerful insurance companies, large corporations, and government. Stan was raised on farm in Ohio. He was a first generation college graduate and moved to Tacoma to attend the University of Puget Sound School of Law, graduating in 1978. Since then, Stan has represented hundreds of regular citizens litigating workers compensation claims, personal injury claims, insurance claims, wrongful death claims, and meretricious relationship claims ever since. Stan is committed to giving back to his community. He has volunteered to serve on many local civic boards over the years. Former governor Gary Locke appointed Stan to serve on the Board of Trustees at Bates Technical College. Governor Chris Gregoire reappointed him to for a second term. He has twice served as chairman of that board. Former Speaker of the State House of Representatives and former Tacoma Mayor Brian Ebersole appointed Stan to the Board of Commissioners of the Tacoma Housing Authority. Former Tacoma Mayor Bill Baarsma reappointed Stan to a second and third term. He has served as chairman of the Board of Commissioners for five separate years. Stan also ran in the 2010 statewide election for Supreme Court Justice. |
